WOMEN’S MINISTRY TEAMS

Assimilation
West Ridge believes that God has uniquely shaped each individual for a specific ministry.  The assimilation team’s goal is to put this belief into action by earnestly taking action in getting each individual plugged into an area of ministry interest.  The team’s main purpose is to see each member or attendee at West Ridge fulfilling her ministry by serving in an area of the Women’s Ministry.  Whether it be getting plugged in after attending Journey or simply filling out a communication card specifying an interest in Women’s Ministry, the assimilation team works for you to get into the area of ministry where your strengths and spiritual gifts will be utilized to their fullest potential.

Care
Our purpose is to assist the small group structure of the church by bringing comfort and encouragement to women in need through personal and practical expressions of love.  We do this by making hospital visits, preparing meals, writing and sending cards, and helping hurting women find healing after the loss of a child.  We are dedicated to praying for those we serve and, as a result, work closely with the Women’s Prayer Team.  Our desire is to motivate all women to live a lifestyle of service, caring for those within their sphere of influence.  Those who participate in this ministry experience the true joy and spiritual growth that comes from living in a community and sharing life’s challenges together.

Connections and Women’s Journey Groups
One of the most valuable tools for moving women through the journey map is to get them involved in Bible study groups.  Here women grow deeper in their relationship with Christ through knowing His word, developing friendships and accountability, and supporting each other through prayer and care.  Time spent in God’s word leads to spiritual growth that spills over into every area of a woman’s life.  “For the word of God is living and active.”  Hebrews 4:12 NIV

Events
One of the ways West Ridge Women’s Ministry is able to reach out into the community that surrounds our church is through events.  Our events are specifically planned with the same purposes as our church. Events are designed to pull women in that might not otherwise be a part of any other ministry or church function.  We plan for events that allow us to draw women towards Jesus Christ to begin or continue the abundant life journey.  We exist to help women discover and develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, discover and develop relationships with other women, and to discover, develop, and use their God given gifts.

Prayer
Our purpose is to “pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests” (Eph 6:18).  To join Christ Jesus in His ministry of intercession (Heb. 7:25).  To create opportunities to encourage, strengthen, and minister to ladies at WRC through prayer.  To pray for the salvation of the unsaved among us.  Finally, to worship the Lord with a heart bent toward prayer and submission to His kingdom.
