God said humanity was not complete with the creation of Adam - He needed companionship. Human marriage and family were introduced. (Genesis 1, 2)
God's people throughout the Old Testament were instructed by God to live, love, and serve Him through groups - families, tribes, nations. (Genesis 12)
Jesus, who could have just as effectively chosen to do His ministry alone, instead gathered 12 disciples to be with Him and learn from Him. He was the leader of a community of dozens of male and female student-followers. (Luke 5:1, 6:12, 8:1, 10:1)
Jesus invited His followers to serve and love each other, to live in communion with each other as evidence of their relationship with Him. (John 13, 15)
In Jesus' church, also called His "body" or family, we are instructed to be in constant fellowship with each other. We cannot grow, serve, or know God completely without each other. We cannot be encouraged and survive without each other. (Romans 12, Ephesians 4, 1 Corinthians 12)
Relationships and living life in community are not a "this earth, this time" proposition. We will enjoy each other as we worship Jesus forever! (Revelation 21, 22)
