How To Select A Study

• CONSIDER using the Sunday Study provided in your WRC Ministry Guide. The questions will help your group apply the message they heard on Sunday.
• PRAY and ask God what He wants. Remember, you are serving Him as a shepherd with this group. What does the Head Shepherd want to 'feed' these 'sheep'?
• CONSULT with your coach and get their input.
• SURVEY your group to see what their present spiritual needs are. Where are they on their spiritual journey? What study could help move them to the next level?
• LOOK for a topic that would meet the needs of the majority of the group, not just one or two members
• BEWARE selecting studies that are only of interest to you!
• RESEARCH different studies. Find out the cost (unless WRC has the study curriculum on hand, your group carries the responsibility to purchase the materials), number of sessions, depth of study questions, quality of materials (books, DVD/videos).
• BALANCE your studies, keep a variety. For instance, study a spiritual discipline (like 'prayer'), then a Bible book, then a Bible character, then a doctrine, then a marriage or parenting topic, etc.
