It is the purposes of West Ridge that your wedding be a happy and memorable event, and more importantly, that it will bring glory to our Lord, Jesus Christ. At West Ridge we believe God's design for marriage is a lifetime covenant relationship between a Christian man and Christian woman. It exists for the couple to experience the abundant life journey with God, to enjoy complete intimacy, and to (when God leads) shepherd a family (Genesis 2, Ephesians 5). With these purposes in mind, West Ridge desires to help prepare couples for their marital journey beginning with a Christ-centered wedding event.
The first step to planning a Christ-centered wedding at West Ridge is to attend premarital counseling. We recommend that you register for the first available Premarital Class at WRC. You can do this by contacting the Life Care Ministry (jeffb@westridge.com). If you choose not to attend the class offered through West Ridge Church, you should provide a statement from another Pastor or Counselor, indicating that you are receiving or have already received Christian premarital counseling. The cost of the WRC Premarital Class is $75 per couple and is paid the first day of class. These classes consist of a Prepare-Enrich Assessment, curriculum and other materials, and four once a week sessions. The class covers the seven major reasons for separation and divorce in the world today. The assessment brings the attention to and discussion of each individual's strengths and weaknesses as it pertains to the marriage relationship. Failure to complete the approved class and counseling requirements will result in the possible postponement or cancellation of your wedding at WRC.
